The Tecno Phantom X2 and X2 Pro are expected to get up to Android 14 updates. They both came with Android 12 out of the box. And Tecno is planning on upgrading the software of their flagship phones for the next two days. The Phones will get Android 13 and 14 and a decision is being made on whether or not they will get Android 15.
It is expected that the Android 13 update will be available soon and it can further boost the reputation of the Phantom X2 series. Tecno also made it clear that there will be maximum support for Android updates for three years. This means the Phantom X2 series will get updated software support up until 2025.
Tecno recently announced a strategic partnership with Google on software to improve user experience across their phones. We are assuming the Phantom X2 series phones are going to benefit from this strategic partnership. The brand has expanded into over 70 markets globally but they previously weren’t sending out Android updates on their phones.

The phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and the Pro Model has a 50MP retractable Lens. They both have an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution. The phones come with a 5160mAh battery and support 45 watts of fast charging.
