We are just a few months away from Google’s highly anticipated October event, where the latest flagship Pixel series phones and the Pixel Watch are expected to debut. Earlier today, the Pixel 9 made an appearance on Geekbench, and now, its higher-end counterpart, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, has also been spotted on the benchmarking platform. The listings confirm the device’s moniker and indicate that the XL variant, last seen with the Pixel 4, is indeed returning this year.
According to Geekbench, the Pixel 9 Pro XL features a motherboard codenamed ‘komodo.’ The setup includes four cores running at 1.95GHz, three cores at 2.60GHz, and a primary core at 3.10GHz, suggesting it will be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset. The device will also sport a Mali-G715 GPU and 16GB of RAM, with potentially more variants at launch. It will come pre-loaded with Android 14 OS.
Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Spotted on Geekbench
In Geekbench tests, the Pixel 9 Pro XL scored 1,378 points in the single-core test and 3,732 points in the multi-core test. Additionally, it achieved a score of 1,176,410 points on AnTuTu. These results are the first glimpse of the phone’s performance, with more details likely to emerge in the coming months.
Leaked CAD-based renders of the Pixel 9 Pro XL suggest that Google will be opting for a boxy design, retaining the distinctive protruding horizontal camera bridge without extending to the corners. The renders show two sensors alongside a periscope lens. Other leaks indicate that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will feature a 6.74-inch 120Hz display, 128GB of storage, and support for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. The Pixel 9 series is also rumored to include satellite connectivity capabilities.
