Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, calling them the most advanced smartphones the company has ever produced. With a bold new aluminum unibody design, the powerful A19 Pro chip, and Apple’s most ambitious camera system to date, the iPhone 17 Pro lineup is built to push performance, creativity, and battery life further than ever before.
The iPhone 17 Pro lineup is manufactured with 30% recycled materials, which includes the use of 100% recycled cobalt in the batteries. This change reduces the share of newly mined materials in the devices.
The phones are also packaged in fully fibre-based boxes, designed to be recyclable. Apple has removed plastic packaging from this generation, continuing a broader industry shift toward fibre-based alternatives
The devices were revealed at Apple’s September keynote, where executives highlighted sweeping upgrades across design, display, cameras, thermal efficiency, and software. Pre-orders open September 12, with availability beginning September 19 in more than 60 countries.
