Apple has officially unveiled its iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, introducing what it calls the most powerful and advanced Pro lineup in the company’s history. Alongside sweeping upgrades in performance, design, and camera capabilities, Apple has confirmed pricing for the new flagship devices.
The iPhone 17 Pro will start at $1,099 (U.S.), or $45.79 per month, while the larger iPhone 17 Pro Max begins at $1,199 (U.S.), or $49.95 per month. Both models come with double the base storage compared to last year’s lineup, starting at 256GB. The Pro Max will also introduce, for the first time, a massive 2TB storage option for users with high-end professional needs.
Customers looking to upgrade will have several ways to reduce costs. Through Apple’s Trade-In program, buyers can receive between $200 and $700 in credit when exchanging an iPhone 13 or newer. Select carrier promotions could bring that number as high as $1,100, effectively lowering or even eliminating the upfront cost for some buyers.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will open Friday, September 12, at 5 a.m. PDT, with devices arriving in stores and shipping out to customers a week later on Friday, September 19. The phones will be available in more than 63 countries and regions at launch, including the U.S., UK, Canada, China, Japan, Germany, and India, with wider availability in additional markets beginning September 26.
The new models will be offered in three finishes — deep blue, cosmic orange, and silver.
With record-breaking performance, enhanced durability, and Apple’s most ambitious camera system yet, the iPhone 17 Pro series continues the company’s push into premium smartphone territory — with pricing that reflects both its expanded features and positioning at the very top of Apple’s product lineup.
