Tech giant Haier just announced their first smartphone, Haier L8 with the trending dual rear camera. The company went bezel-less with the L6 last month. The new L8 comes with two rear shooters and bezel-less display as well. Haier L8 will be available in March, just after the Mobile World Congress.
Haier L8 DESIGN
It looks like the L6 but with dual rear cameras, which brings out the beauty of the device. Its sleek aluminum body is smooth and comfortable to hold, measuring just 8.4 mm slim and weighing just 140g. I love the way the dual rear camera was placed horizontally at the top middle.
It sports a rear fingerprint under the LED Flash, all in a horizontal format giving the device a premium look. The phone will be available in 3 beautiful colours, which are Black, Gold and Blue.
Haier L8 DISPLAY
It is bezel-less, which is exactly what we want to see more of in 2018. The 5.99-inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is stunning. Boasting of 1080 x 2160 pixels in resolution and 403 pixel per inch density, offering immersive visuals.
It has very tiny narrow bezels and minimal top and bottom bezels but it’s still there. Although Haier got a 76.1% screen-to-body ratio with the L8 which is brilliant.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
Doing all the work underneath is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, with Octa-core processor clocking at 1.8GHz. For graphics, the Adreno 506 processing unit is in charge here. Multitask through games and apps with 3GB of RAM space.
Store everything from movies to games and important files in the 32GB internal storage space. If that isn’t enough, you can upgrade up to 128GB using a memory card in the microSD slot. Haier L8 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with a modified user interface of course.
CAMERA
It boasts of a better dual rear camera this time around, the 12MP + 2MP rear shooters are brilliant. It has a dual-tone LED Flash underneath, with other features like phase detection autofocus, touch focus and face detection.
For your daily selfies, the 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture should do justice to your face. There’s also a front LED flash on the Haier L8 for dark paces and nightclubs.
BATTERY
Haier L8 is powered by a Non-Removable Li-Ion 4000mAh battery. It’s too early to tell if it has the fast charging feature, but going with their previous smartphones, I highly doubt that.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Haier L8 is not yet available at the moment but should be available for Pre-order during the MWC.
