Apple released the IOS 17 at the WWDC 2023, and the major highlight of the event was the new AR/VR headset, the new 15-inch MacBook Air Powered by the M2 chip, among others. They highlighted the new Operating system and some of its features that will be readily available in the fall. Apple also confirmed the list of devices that won’t get the new update.
They confirmed that the iPhone X, 8, and 8 Plus won’t get the new IOS 17 operating system. The update requires a phone using the A12 Bionic chipset or later. If you own the iPhone XS, XR, and XS Max, and iPhone SE second generation, you will be eligible for the new update.
The new version has features like live voicemail, better autocorrect, standby display mode, and many others.
With the new Smart Home Lock Screen on IOS 17, you can turn your iPhone into a new Smart Home display when not in use. It will showcase different information, including weather, calendar appointments, and notifications. Contact posters also allow users to customize how they’re represented on other people’s phones.
For safety, Check-in is a new feature that will inform family members when you have made it home or a trip safely. The new OS also brings a journal app for sourcing memories and using people, places, activities, music, photos, and more for writing in the journal.
