The Dimensity 1300 chipset from MediaTek has been unveiled, and it is likely to power the OnePlus Nord 2T/3 in the near future.
Specifications of the MediaTek Dimensity 1300
The new chip, which is made on TSMC’s 6nm process, has an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 cores (one Ultra, which runs at 3GHz, and three Super, which run at 2.6GHz) and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, which run at 2GHz. A nine-core Arm Mali-G77 MC graphics processor is used.
The Dimensity 1300 can accommodate screens with a refresh rate of up to 168Hz and a resolution of up to FullHD+, or 2520×1080 pixels. You can use up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM with the processor. UFS 3.1 is supported by the Dimensity 1300.
The ISP can record video in multi-person portrait mode and 4K HDR and can accommodate up to 200MP cameras. For quicker 4K streaming, you can use hardware-accelerated AV1 decoding.
Although MediaTek hasn’t confirmed which phones will be the first to use the Dimensity 1300, the OnePlus Nord 3 is believed to be one of them. The Snapdragon 778G, Qualcomm’s most powerful 7-series CPU, should be able to match the Dimensity 1300’s capabilities.
