All You Need To Know About MediaTek Dimensity 1050

MediaTek has developed a new chipset, the MediaTek Dimensity 1050. The chipset is essentially a scaled-down version of the Dimensity 1100 SoC, but it is also the company’s first processor to support dual mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G connection.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1050 is a 6nm octa-core processor with two ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores rated at 2.5GHz. While the business has not specified efficiency cores, they are most likely six ARM Cortex-A55.

It also includes an ARM Mali-G610 graphics processor and compatibility with MediaTek’s HyperEngine 5.0 suite, which offers additional optimization tools and capabilities for improved gaming performance.

It supports 3CC carrier aggregation on the sub-6GHz (FR1) frequency and 4CC carrier aggregation on the mmWave (FR2) spectrum, promising up to 53% higher downlink rates than LTE + mmWave aggregation. It also has Wi-Fi 6E and a 22 MIMO antenna for speedy Wi-Fi.

The company has not provided any other details on the CPU but has stated that devices based on the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 will be available commercially between July and September of this year.
