The Infinix Hot 20 5G is the first 5G phone from the Hot series by Infinix. It is powered by a 5G capable chipset which is the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset and it comes with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. I feel the RAM should have been increased to at least 6 or 8GB to allow for improved performance. The phone runs on Android 12 and surprisingly XOS 10.6 is the UI. It is surprising given the fact that most of the new Infinix phones are running XOS 12 out of the box.
The Infinix Hot 20 5G has a plastic build with frames as well, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It weighs around 204 grams and it supports dual 5G sim cards as well. You also get a headphone port and loudspeaker which is started to get missing on phones nowadays. The display is IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and it’s sizeable at just 6.58 inches. Other phones in the Hot 20 series this year are bigger.
The Infinix Hot 20 5G comes with a 50MP main camera alongside a QVGA lens. You can shoot 1080p videos with the back camera. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter that can as well shoot 1080p clips. The camera is decent, especially in good lighting conditions. You also get a 5000mAh battery that can last a whole day and supports 18Watts fast charging. The phone can also reverse charge other phones using a wire. It would last a complete day but you will need to charge the phone before you go to sleep.
