Alcatel 3L 2019 is the somewhat little brother of the Alcatel 3 2019, both of which was announced at the ongoing MWC event in Barcelona and not, the L in the name doesn’t actually mean “Little brother” but it might as well be. Moving on to the internals, it comes with a Snapdragon 429 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, dual camera setup, a 3,500mAh battery capacity and depending on the market, a fingerprint sensor at the back.

Alcatel 3L Design And Display
Alcatel 3L bears the same design with Alcatel 3 2019, except for the colour options. The colour options available on this Alcatel 3L 2019 are Anthracite black and Metallic Blue. It has a plastic body with a dual camera setup, LED flash and depending on the market, a fingerprint sensor on the back.
At the front is the 5.94-inch display covered with Asahi Dragontail Glass with a screen resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels, a pixel per inch density of 289 and an aspect ratio of 19:9 with a notch. The notch houses the front-facing camera and there is also a little bit of chin at the bottom. It weighs just 145grams and measures 8mm in thickness. It also has a Hybrid Dual SIM slot.
Alcatel 3L 2019 Camera Review
Alcatel 3L’s rear camera setup here consists of a main 13MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture alongside a secondary 5MP depth sensor camera for portrait mode shots with AI scene detection. The rear camera features an LED flash, HDR, Panorama and 1080p video recording capability at 30fps. An 8MP camera located in the notch up front takes care of selfie with an f/2.0 aperture, HDR and can even shot 720p videos at 30fps.
Alcatel 3L 2019 Hardware and Software
A Snapdragon 429 SoC drives this device with an Octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz which is paired with an Adreno 504 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is the only configuration available. Storage space can be expanded further via a microSD through the second SIM slot which also doubles as a microSD card slot. It ships with Android 8.1 Oreo but will get Android 9.0 Pie soon according to Alcatel.
Battery & Network Connectivity
The 3,500mAh battery on this Alcatel 3 2019 doesn’t come with fast charging capabilities just its big brother. However, other features which are available on its brother are also available here. These features include 4G LTE, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, 3.5mm jack and a microUSB port. Also, there is NFC which will be market dependent.

Alcatel 3L carries a price tag of €139/$160 and will go on sale sometime in Q2 of this year.
