DESIGN
Has an exquisite metal overall body, it reflects light beautifully in a unique way. The vertical dual shooters at the back add to its beauty no doubt, with a dual-LED flash by the side and a fingerprint scanner underneath.
The device is a beauty to behold, and one of the good looking midrange smartphones out there. It measures, 8.1 mm slim and weighs 155g overall. It’s available in Spectrum Black, Spectrum Blue and Spectrum Gold colours.
DISPLAY
It’s bezel-less no doubt, but the screen to body ratio needs some improvement. The top and bottom bezel are minimal, with tiny narrow bezels. But overall, the screen could only get to 75.46% screen to body ratio.
The 6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is large enough for clear movies and games. Boasts of 1080 x 2160 pixels in resolution and 402 pixels per inch density. The screen has full lamination technology, supports multi-touch and scratch resistant.
HARDWARE and SOFTWARE
Working underneath here is the MediaTek MT6735A chipset, alongside 64-bit CPU architecture and 4-cores of a processor. The Quad-core processor clocks at 1.4GHz for fast performance and has a 28nm process technology.
Handling graphics is the ARM Mali-T720 MP2 graphics processor that clocks at 600MHz. 2GB RAM space is available for multitasking and fast app launching. In terms of storage, there are two versions, one with 32GB storage space and a cheaper variant with 16GB. The Alcatel 3V runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
CAMERA
At the back, there’s a 12MP + 2MP dual rear camera for photography. The 12MP camera has f/2.2 aperture, while the 2MP has f/2.4 aperture. Both will work together to capture photos with 4608 x 3456 pixels in dimension. For selfies, there’s a 5MP selfie camera.
BATTERY
The Alcatel 3V is powered by a Non-Removable Li-Ion 3000mAh battery with no fast charging technology.
