All TECNO Pouvoir Smartphones, Specs and Prices

TECNO Pouvoir smartphones are a relatively new line-up from TECNO which focuses mainly on battery without also cutting down on other aspects of the device. The TECNO Pouvoir line of smartphones which has only been around for just about 1 year plus comes with great battery backup and is very inexpensive.

Given the electricity situation in the country, this line of TECNO smartphone is obviously the best choice for those who want a hefty battery that can last them through the weekend on moderate use. So far, we’ve only seen 4 TECNO Pouvoir smartphones with all of them packing the signature 5,000mAh battery. Without further ado, let’s right down to the devices.

TECNO Pouvoir 1

Pouvoir 1 as you may or may not have already known is the first Installment in the Pouvoir line. It has a moderate 5.5-inch display which uses the old 16:9 aspect ratio. Both the front-facing 8MP and rear-facing 5MP camera are equipped with an LED flash. No 4G LTE, fingerprint sensor or FaceID here.

It has Mediatek MT6580W Chipset, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The 5,000mAh battery on the inside of this device is perhaps it’s selling and given that it weighs just 164grams is nothing short of impressive. Colour options available for this device are Dark Black, Spruce Green, Ice Blue and Amber Gold.

TECNO Pouvoir 2

Tecno Pouvoir 2 is the second instalment, bringing some improvements in other departments while still keeping 5,000mAh battery. TECNO Pouvoir 2 has a bigger 6.0-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It also has a MediaTek MT6737 SoC with 2GB of RAM, 1GB more than its predecessor. However, storage stayed the same at 16GB which can be expanded further, up to 128GB via a microSD card. There is also 4G LTE connectivity, a fingerprint sensor at the back and FaceID. A 13MP camera is at the back while an 8MP camera sits at the front. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with TECNO’s HIOS Skin slapped on top.

TECNO Pouvoir 2 Pro

Pouvoir 2 Pro looks identical to the TECNO Pouvoir 2 but with a metallic back. However, there are some changes Internally. First, the RAM got bumped up to 3GB which will slightly improve performance and also help with multitasking. Also, the front-facing here is now a 13MP shooter instead of the 8MP found on the TECNO Pouvoir 2. Asides the change in RAM and camera, everything else remains the same as seen on the TECNO Pouvoir 2. From the MediaTek MT6737 SoC, to the 16GB Internal storage and right down to the 5,000mAh battery.

Tecno Pouvoir 2 Air

Pouvoir 2 Air is a more budget-friendly version of the TECNO Pouvoir 2. Pouvoir 2 Air is running the Go Edition of the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with the HIOS skin on top.

Just like the Pouvoir 2, the Pouvoir 2 Air has a 6.0-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, a front-facing 8MP camera and a rear 13MP camera, both with an LED flash. It also has MediaTek MT6580 SoC with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.

A fingerprint sensor, as well as a FaceID, is present but there is no 4G LTE. Nevertheless, it still retains the signature 5,000mAh battery which powers the device.

TECNO Pouvoir 3

TECNO Pouvoir 3 is 3rd iteration in the Pouvoir lineup. Just as it is the tradition of the Pouvoir devices (Pouvoir means power in French),  like the previous Pouvoir smartphones, the Pouvoir 3 also features a massive 5,000mAh battery.

The Pouvoir 3 smartphone was introduced in Nigeria as a successor to the Pouvoir 2 and 2 Pro.

It comes with a single 13-MP rear camera aided with dual-toned LED flash as well as a 13-MP front selfie shooter.  Just like recent TECNO devices, Pouvoir 3 is integrated with AI features as a form of facial enhancement and scene identification.

Though the phone runs Android v.8.1 (Oreo), it still surprisingly offers support for stock AR Emoji.

It has an exciting array of connectivity features, including a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual Nano-SIM cards, support for 4G LTE network among others.
