Honor Magic V-First Foldable Phone To Use A Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Chip

Honor had its first press conference in 2022 on January 10th, when it unveiled the Honor Magic V, its flagship foldable smartphone. This is the company’s first foldable smartphone, as well as the first foldable smartphone featuring Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor. Honor Magic V Specifications and Price

The Honor Magic V has a 6.45-inch OLED display. This display has a 21.3:9 aspect ratio, 2560 x 1080 resolution, 431ppi pixel density, and a screen-to-body ratio of up to 90%. It also has a DCI-P3 broad color gamut of 100 percent and HDR10+ technology. It has a global maximum brightness of 1000nits, a peak maximum brightness of 1200nits, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone also outperforms the standard Corning Gorilla Glass display in terms of drop resistance.

When it comes to the internal display, the Honor Magic V supports a 90Hz refresh rate. The display has a global maximum brightness of 800 nits, a peak brightness of 1000 nits, and a DCI-P3 color gamut of 100 percent. This device offers amazing display effects and is the industry’s first foldable smartphone with IMAX Enhanced certification.

In the camera department, the Honor Magic V features a vertical triple rear camera system that includes a 50MP main camera (1/1.5 inch super big), a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50MP enhancement camera. The Honor Magic V has a 42MP front camera in the punch-hole for selfies and video calls.

In terms of hardware, the Honor Magic V is equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen1 CPU. The performance has greatly improved over the previous generation. The entire performance output is more steady and long-lasting thanks to OS Turbo X and GPU Turbo X technology.

A 4750 mAh high-capacity battery is built into the Honor Magic V for power. It has an asymmetric dual-battery design and can supports 66W wired fast charging. 

The Honor Magic V comes in three different color schemes: titanium silver, vivid black, and orange. In terms of price, the device offers two versions. The 12GB + 256GB variant costs $1,568 whilst the 12GB + 512GB version costs $1,725
