CUBOT J3 DESIGN
Definitely one of the good looking budget smartphones I’ve seen in a while, it has an aluminium alloy overall unibody and a touch of Plastic as well. It comes with the trending curved antenna lines as well, making it quite stunning.
There’s no fingerprint scanner at the rear, just the camera and LED flash on a vertical foundation at the top left corner. Turning over to the sides, we can see the power button and volume keys as it measures 8.8mm in thickness. You can get it in Black, Gray and Blue colours.
CUBOT J3 DISPLAY
The phone holds the record of the smallest screen (just 5-inch) with the trending 18:9 aspect ratio view. Even though it gives you a small screen, you’ll also get small bezels as well. The sides are almost non-existent which is brilliant.
The 5-inch FWVGA+ capacitive touchscreen will display taller visuals in landscape mode. It has 960 x 480 pixels in resolution and 268 pixels per inch density, this should bring out the details on the screen pretty well. Furthermore, it stretches up to 78% screen-to-body ratio.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
Under the hood, the MediaTek MT6580 chip does the job, it was built on a 28nm process technology, so power consumption might be high. Nonetheless, the Quad-core processor clocks at 1.3GHz. While the ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processor comes with 2-cores.
Just 1GB of RAM is available for multitasking here, but that should be more than enough to multitask through the Go and light apps. For storing files, you get 16GB storage space and you can expand up to 32GB anytime you want as well. As stated above, it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition.
