Elephone A6 mini Design And Display
Elephone A6 mini has a pretty low-budget statement look in its design with the plastic back. The back is lacking the fingerprint sensor which is nowhere to be found on this device. However, a dual-camera setup, as well as LED flash, is available at the top left corner of the device’s back.
At the front lies the 5.71-inch IPS LCD display with a notch which houses the front-facing camera. The display itself is an HD+ panel with a 295ppi and a 79 screen-to-body ratio. Overall, it weighs just 177grams thanks to the small battery on the inside and measures 8.6mm in thickness.
As expected, it has a hybrid dual SIM slot which means you can either use two SIM cards or one SIM card and one microSD card for additional storage. Colours options available are twilight, blue and black.
Camera Specs
In the camera department, we have a 16MP main camera sitting alongside a secondary 2MP depth sensor at the back. There is also an LED flash for low light photos. Meanwhile, there is another 16MP camera at the front, in the notch, that takes care of selfies.
The rear camera is able to shoot 720p as well as 1080p videos at 30fps while the front-facing camera can be used for face unlock a.k.a FaceID.
Hardware and Software
Elephone has fitted the A6 Mini with an Helio A22 SoC from Mediatek. This chipset has a Quad-core processor clocking speeds of up to 2.0GHz paired with an IMG PowerVR GPU for gaming.
It has 4GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage which is a weird combination. However, you can add more storage through the second SIM card slot which doubles as a microSD card slot. It can accommodate up to 400GB of additional storage.
As for the software, it runs the not so latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. No word on future updates support.
Battery and Connectivity
Elephone A6 Mini has a 3,180mAh with no word fast charging support which most likely means it doesn’t have it. However, it does have other features like 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, GPS, the almost extinct 3.5mm jack and a microUSB port for both charging and file transfer.
