Elephone U2 Launched with 6GB RAM and Pop-Up Dual Seflie

The Elephone U2 just went official packing some major upgrade over its predecessor – Elephone U. The New Elephone U2 comes with 5 cameras – two front-facing cameras and three rear-facing cameras. Asides this, there is also a 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a massive 4000mAh battery and the latest Android operating system – Android 9.0 Pie.

Design And Display

Elephone U2 has a 6.26-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and a 1080 x 2340 screen resolution with 412ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass on top for screen protection. The device also has a 19:9 aspect ratio and a 95% screen to body ratio.

No notch here as there is a pop-up camera here, similar to the one found on the Vivo NEX A and Vivo NEX smartphones. However, there are two cameras here instead of one in the pop-up module. At the back of the device are three cameras with an LED flash and a heart rate sensor. The body of the device is made up of Metal + Glass and comes in three flavours – Red, Green and Black.

Hardware and Software

Inside the device is a Mediatek Helio P70 SoC with an Octa-core processor clocking speeds of up to 2.8GHz and ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. For multitasking, there is a 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and if that isn’t enough, there is a MicroSD Card slot to expand the storage further, up to 512GB. Booting up, you’ll be great with the latest Android 9.0 Operating System.

Camera, Battery & Connectivity

At the front of the device is a dual pop-up camera of 16MP + 20MP with f/2.0 aperture and at the back is triple 12MP + 5MP + 2MP camera with f/2.0 + f/2.2 + f/2.8 aperture. The device is portrait mode ready and low light shouldn’t be a problem with Dual LED flash.

A 4000mAh battery is on board to keep the device powered which should comfortably get you through a day’s use. 4G LTE, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB On The Go are all present on the device.

Elephone PX Price And Availability

The price for the base version of 3GB/32GB starts at $180 and goes as high as $230 for the bigger 4GB/64GB configuration. The phone hasn’t gone on sale as at the time of writing this article but will go on sale soon.
