Download Google Pixel 3 Camera port for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9

If you own either a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or a Samsung Galaxy S9 and you want to make use of the Google Camera port on your device then you’ve definitely come to the right place. Samsung’s camera is quite good and okay for an everyday user. However, it’s no news that the Google camera found in Google Pixel 2 and 3 and Nexus smartphones are the absolute best when it comes to Android smartphone photography, thanks to Google’s software magic.

Previously, Google Camera ports only work with Snapdragon-powered smartphones, however, a developer over at XDA by the name IDan1109, made it possible for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and S9 users whose devices have Exynos Chipset able to use Google Camera although you’ll have to play around with the settings for a stable experience.

So regardless of the Chipset powering your Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or S9, you’ll still be able to download and make use of the Google Camera. Without further ado, let’s get down to it.

Download Google Pixel 3 Camera Port for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9

First things first, Download the Google Camera Mod apk for device below depending on the Chipset your device is using.

  1. Download Google Camera for Snapdragon Powered Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9/S9+. Thanks to XDA developer xterminater07 for this.
  2. Download Google Camera for Exynos Powered Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9/S9+. Thanks to XDA developer IDan1109 for this.

After you’ve downloaded the appropriate Google Camera for your device, Install the App, Launch it and you’re good to go. Your device doesn’t need to be rooted for this to work and even if it is, it’ll still work. You may also need to Access the Settings Menu and go to security in order to be able to “allow Installation of apps from unknown sources”.

If the app becomes unstable, you can play around with the settings to get a more stable experience like enabling Google Pixel’s Auto-HDR+ or setting the model to Google Pixel 2 XL. Google Camera is just my great and can only get better with time. Hopefully, these dedicated developers keep the Google Camera mod ports coming when new Google camera updates are released for the Google Pixel smartphones.
