How To Adjust Apple Watch Brightness Level

If you’re looking for how to adjust Apple Watch brightness level then you’ve definitely come to the right place. The Apple watch doesn’t automatically set it’s brightness like most if not all smartphones do. This is because the Apple Watch is equipped with an ambient light sensor which helps to adjust the brightness based on the amount of light being shown/reflected on the display. This is a very good Feature which helps you turn down the brightness when you’re indoors or in a dark place and turn the brightness up when you step out or in a well-lit place.

Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t have it and it isn’t something that can be fixed with a software update sometime in the future as this is hardware related. Hopefully, Apple adds this in the next version of their Apple Watch. Thankfully, there is a way around it – manually adjust the brightness settings. I know this can be sometimes tiring, having to adjust the settings based on the lighting condition of where you are just to see what’s on your Apple Watch. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about that. However, what we can do is to show you how to adjust Apple watch brightness level whenever and wherever you’re in just a few simple taps.

How To Adjust Apple Watch Brightness Level

  1. Bring up your Apple Watch and Access the Settings Menu.
  2. In the settings menu, Click on the “Brightness & Text Size” which is just underneath General.
  3. Here, you’ll be able to see your current brightness settings which a sun-like icon at both sides/end of the brightness level.
  4. Simply tap on the left one to reduce the brightness level or the right one to increase the Brightness level.

Unlike various smart phones out there that have different degrees of brightness levels, the brightness level on the Apple watch has only 3 stages. So if you want to reduce the brightness from the highest to the Lowest, all you have to down is just tap the left icon three times and vice versa if you’re increasing. You can also tap it once if you want to reduce or increase the brightness but not all the way. That’s pretty much it.
