How to Message Yourself on Whatsapp

WhatsApp users can now message themselves thanks to a new feature. There are a number of ways you can use the feature maybe for taking notes, sending links, or forwarding messages to yourself. At first I didn’t find the feature useful until I started saving messages and links using the new feature. If you have been wondering how to message yourself on Whatsapp then this tutorial is going to help you. Let’s get started.

How to Message Yourself on WhatsApp

Messaging yourself on Whatsapp works the way you will message anyone else on the app. If you want to message yourself on the app then follow the steps below.

  • Open WhatsApp and tap on the new chat icon on the bottom right of the screen.
  • At the top of your contact list you will see your name with the text Message Yourself.
  • Select your profile and open a new chat. A chat window will open just like any other chat and you can start messaging yourself instantly.

The chat will keep appearing like a regular whatsapp conversation after you have messaged yourself. Whatsapp messages are end to end encrypted so if you want to forward a message or text with yourself your name will be in the contact. If you use the feature regularly your contact will appear in the frequently used section when sharing something. It is an important Whatsapp feature for people who need to save a lot of text.

You can also pin your contact at the top of your conversations if you constantly need to message yourself. You can also use it to test and see if there are any problems with Whatsapp.

Messaging yourself on Whatsapp is quite easy. If you read through the article above then you will know how easy it is. What do you think about this Whatsapp feature? Let us know in the comment section below
