HTC U ULTRA SAPPHIRE GLASS Edition was announced last month with top of the line Specs and features as the premium variant of the HTC U ultra. The device was announced in Taiwan but report has it that the newly released HTC U ULTRA SAPPHIRE GLASS EDITION will be unveiled in Europe, precisely Germany and Switzerland this month. The high-end smartphone will sell for €849 compared to the base version that goes for €699.
DISPLAY AND DESIGN
The HTC U ULTRA SAPPHIRE GLASS Edition measures 162.41 x 79.79 x 7.99 in dimension and weigh 170.00 grams. It is a 5.7-inch smartphone protected with a Sapphire glass at the front with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels with 513 ppi pixel density. Meaning you get a visually impressive display with great sunlight visibility. There is a 2.05-inch secondary display with a resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels. All these make the HTC U ULTRA SAPPHIRE GLASS Edition unique compared to most flagship out there.
The reason you are paying so much for the Sapphire Glass edition is due to the extra layer of hardness that was employed on the phone and the upgrade from 64GB to 128GB of onboard memory. It comes with the durable and scratch resistant Mohs hardness of 9, which is mostly used on high-end watches.
SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE
The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box on top of Sense UI and is upgradable to the next Android version. On the performance side of thing, HTC U ULTRA sapphire is powered by 2.15GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 4GB of RAM.
It has 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 2000GB via a MicroSD card.
When it comes to camera quality, the phone is not left behind, the HTC U Ultra sapphire is blessed with a 12-Ultrapixel primary camera at the back and a 16-megapixel front facing snapper.
