The Huawei Nova 3i has been finally launched in Nigeria and is already on sale on Jumia. The Nova 3i targets those who won’t be able to afford the Nova 3 which was introduced weeks ago.
This is also the first smartphone that comes with the new Kirin 710 chip which Huawei didn’t officially reveal. There’s 4GB RAM and 128GB storage space as well. Let’s see what else this has to offer.

Design and Display
It’s obvious Huawei didn’t bother making a slight change in the design, it still looks like the Nova 3 no doubt. However, the shades of colour look different now, it’s now available in Black, Pearl White and Iris Purple.
These colours work well with the body, the dual shooters are also vertically mounted at the top left corner with the LED flash underneath. It measures 7.6mm in thickness and weighs 169g overall.
When you turn over to the front, you’ll be greeted by the notch. The 19:9.5 screen is absolutely stunning, Huawei didn’t reduce the quality of the screen here as well.
You still get the same 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, this boasts of 1080 x 2340 pixels in resolution and 409 pixels per inch density. It has 82.2% screen-to-body ratio just like the iPhone X.
Hardware and Software
The Hisilicon Kirin 710 is officially live guys, Huawei quietly introduced the chip on the Nova 3i. It has an octa-core processor clocking at 2.2GHz. While the Mali-G72 MP12 controls graphics.
Multitasking shouldn’t be a problem with 4GB of RAM space available. You also get a massive 128GB storage space ready to accommodate all your files and apps. There’s an option to upgrade up to 246GB, it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2.

You get to explore your photography options with four cameras. The 16MP + 2MP shooters at the rear have f/2.2 aperture. You can take clear photographs at night with the LED flash. Take cute selfies with dual 24MP + 2MP cameras on the notch.
Network, Battery and Availability
The Nova 3i supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB port, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.
The Huawei Nova 3i is powered by a removable Li-Ion 3340mAh battery with fast charging technology. Huawei Nova 3i will be available on Jumia Nigeria starting from $299 to $349, that’s about (N105,000 – N110,000).
