Huawei unveiled many smartphones today in China. And the major highlights of the announcements were the launch of the next lineup in the nova series of smartphones, the Huawei nova 5 Pro (featuring the powerful Kirin 980), Huawei nova 5 (equipped with the new Kirin 810), and Huawei nova 5i.
Huawei nova 5
The nova 5 is the first smartphone to feature Huawei’s newly released Kirin 810 chip. Its launch, as a matter of fact, is scheduled for mid-July because producing the chip requires more time. The Kirin 810 processor comes with 2 Cortex-A76 powerful cores that are clocked at 2.27GHz, 6 efficient Cortex-A55 cores running at 1.88GHz, in addition to a Mali-G52 MP6 GPU. The device has only one memory option (8/128 GB), and its costs will start from CNY2,999 ($435/€385) when released.
Huawei nova 5 Pro
The Huawei nova 5 Pro is doubtless the star of the smartphone family, sporting an OLED panel, vivid colors as well as an under-display fingerprint scanner. Its display is 6.39 inches in diagonal and has Full HD+ resolution & a waterdrop notch for the 32 MP front-facing selfie shooter.
The flagship Kirin 980 chipset will power the smartphone, and it will come with 8GB of RAM and built-in storage of 128GB/256GB. Huawei nova 5i
This device comes with Kirin 710 chipset, which is a decidedly less attractive chipset than the first 2. But it has an outstanding build with its punch hole camera design. The fingerprint scanner is rear-mounted and is next to the 4 cameras, which are 24 MP primary plus 8 MP wide-angle plus 2 MP depth sensor as well as 2 MP macro lens. The memory options for this phone are 6/128GB or 8/128GB.
It will be released in Black, Amber Red, and Sea Blue colors. The device will go for either CNY1,999 ($290/€260) or CNY2,199 ($320/€280), depending on the variant you choose, and shipping will start 7 days from now.
