Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 Price in Nigeria and Full Specs Review

Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 is an upgrade to its predecessor, the Huawei Y5 (2017). Huawei Y5 Prime also retains the very cheap price tag as its predecessor but with a few upgrades here and there which include a bigger screen with an all-new 18:9 aspect ratio, a slightly better chipset, battery and camera. The device features a big 5.54-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 720 x 1440 pixels screen resolution (295ppi). The Body of the device is made out of plastic as expected at this price point with the colours being Gold, Black and Blue.

At the back of this device is dual rear camera sitting comfortably at the top left side while a single from facing camera sits at the top centre of the device’s front. At the back is a single 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture which is equipped with a dual-LED dual tone flash to lighten up your photos. The rear camera is also capable of recording 1080p videos at a maximum of 30fps. For selfies, the Huawei Y5 Prime has a 5MP camera also equipped with an LED flash. The camera can also be used for face Unlock which this device has.

Inside the device is a MediaTek MT6739 Chipset, a Quad-core processor with a clocking speed of up 1.5GH. It is paired with the PowerVR GE8100 GPU. For multitasking, there is a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded further, up to 256GB via a MicroSD card slot. Out of the box, it comes with Huawei’s own EMUI 8.0 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Battery & Network Connectivity

Powering the device is a 3,020mAh battery which is not bad considering the price. The battery comes with power saving technology which can get you up to 62 hours of continuous music playback or 13 hours of continuous video watching. There is also not fast charging here so there’s that. However, the device is equipped with 4G LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi direct, WiFi hotspot and micro USB 2.0 Port for charging and transferring of files.
