The waterdrop notch is home to an 8MP selfie camera. While the back houses a triple camera setup and fingerprint reader. The triple rear camera packs 13 + 2 + 2MP sensors with LED flash. Underneath the fingerprint reader is the Infinix brand name. Face unlock is also available for additional security.
The Infinix Hot 8 is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Storage can also be expanded via a dedicated microSD slot. The phone runs on Infinix’s XOS 5.0 skin which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. The battery capacity is 5,000 mAh with no indication of fast charging, which charges with a microUSB. According to Infinix, the battery offers 25 days of standby time.
The smartphone is scheduled to drop on popular Indian online store – Flipkart. The launch date is September 12 and it will be available in Midnight Black, Cosmic Purple and Quetzal Cyan body colours. The starting price for the Hot 8 is $97, which will only last until October 30. After that, the price will go up to $111.
