Infinix Mobile just announced the Hot S3 and Infinix Hot S3 Pro today and it will be available via Flipkart first in India before we can expect to see the devices in Nigeria. Both devices should be available in Nigeria and Africa as a whole in the coming weeks.

Is the Hot S3 Pro exactly the same with the Hot S3, apart from coming with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage? Is it also much more expensive than the Hot S3? Well, there’s only one way to find out about that, let’s dig in. Shall we?

DESIGN

Finally, an Infinix Hot smartphone that looks different from the others, the Hot S3 exudes class and style. The rear camera and LED flash are placed vertically at the top left and rear fingerprint scanner is spotted as well.

Made from plastic, it seems Infinix doesn’t want to opt for Aluminum anytime soon. It measures 8.4mm slim making it comfortable to hold and flaunt. It weighs 150g which is quite light even with the massive battery capacity. The Hot S3 Pro is available in Sandstone Black and Brush Gold only.

DISPLAY

It bezel-less and the first from Infinix Mobile, we know there are still bezels but look how far they’ve come. This is coming a month after Tecno went bezel-less with the CM.

The 5.65-inch screen is brilliant I must confess, the HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of 720×1440 pixels in resolution. Infinix reached almost 75.6% screen to body ratio on the Hot S3 Pro. Overall, the screen beautiful and I can’t wait to see it in the Zero series.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

It houses the Snapdragon 430 chipset from Qualcomm, making the Hot S3 Pro the first Infinix with the processor. Boasts of Octa-core processor that reaches a speed of 1.4GHz, for a faster smartphone experience.

For multitasking and fast app launching, there’s 4GB of RAM space which is better than the Hot S3. There’s a larger 64GB internal storage space on the Hot S3 Pro as well. Hot S3 Pro will become the first Infinix device to run on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. The user interface is the XOS 3.0 Hummingbird same with the Zero 5 flagship.

CAMERA

Infinix smartphones are well known for their photo taking prowess, the Hot S3 Pro comes with a 13MP rear camera. The camera is paired with a dual-LED flash underneath, to help take stunning photographs in dark places. At the front, there’s a super sharp 20MP selfie camera with dual-LED Flash as well. You can easily take photos in dark places and make video calls in low light environments with the Hot S3 Pro.

BATTERY

Infinix Hot S3 Pro is powered by a Non-Removable Li-Ion 4000mAh battery. It comes with the fast battery charging feature as well, so you won’t be a wall hugger all the time.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

Infinix Hot S3 Pro is not yet available at the moment but should come out before ending of January.
