Infinix Hot S3X vs Hot S3 faceoff is about to begin. These smartphones have a lot in common, they are the newest Installation to the Hot S series from Infinix. Even though the Hot S3X hasn’t been officially released, the specs and features have been made available for everyone to see.
The Hot S3 was the first Infinix smartphone with an 18:9 screen, although that didn’t last for long as they released a sequel to the device with the trendy 19:9 notched screen. Well, apart from the screen, what else did Infinix upgrade on the Hot S3X? Let’s find out.

They both look alike to a point, however, the Hot S3X’s Plastic body has a gradient feel reflecting light beautifully, compared to the Hot S3 that looks so plain. The camera and LED flash on both devices are placed horizontally at the top left corner.
However, it’s more obvious that the Hot S3X has dual rear cameras. They both have the fingerprint scanner. The Hot S3X measures 8.3 mm in thickness and weighs 150g, while the Hot S3 is a little bulky at 8.4mm in thickness and weighs the same as well.

Turning to the front, of course, there’s a major difference. The Hot S3X sports a 6.2-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, there’s a notch on top as well, this flows with the current trend. It has a resolution of 720 x 1500 pixels and 267 ppi.
While the Hot S3 sports a smaller 5.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The screen has 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution and 282 ppi. The screen on the Hot S3X stretches up to 81% screen-to-body ratio thanks to the notch, while the Hot S3 is below 76%.

An upgrade always means a better camera performance, the 13MP shooter on the Hot S3X adopts a secondary 2MP shooter which sits underneath and blurs out the background in pictures. While the Hot S3 has a single 13MP rear shooter. However, the Hot S3 has a 20MP selfie camera while the Hot S3X has a 16MP selfie camera.
Performance
Internally, the devices are both the same, they are powered by the Snapdragon 430 chipset. This comes with an octa-core processor clocking at 1.4GHz. While the Adreno 505 handles graphics.
For multitasking, they both have 3GB RAM and of course the same 32GB storage space to accommodate apps. The storage is upgradeable up to 128GB. They both run on the Android 8.1 Oreo.

They are both competitive with each other no doubt. However, the Hot S3X brings the trending notch and dual rear camera as an update. However looking at these devices closely, the Hot S3X is not much of an upgrade compared to the original Hot S3.

They are basically the same phone but Hot S3X is better sha. Go for Hot S3X
