Infinix has officially unveiled the Note 40X 5G in India, targeting budget-conscious consumers eager to experience 5G technology without a hefty price tag. The new model offers a competitive array of specifications for its price range, featuring a mid-tier MediaTek processor, a versatile triple-camera system, and a variety of AI-driven enhancements.

The Note 40X boasts a design that aligns with current trends, including a hole-punch display and flat edges. The 6.78-inch IPS LCD screen supports Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, with a peak brightness of 500 nits, the display may need to catch up in bright outdoor conditions.
Infinix introduces an innovation with the Dynamic Bar, a feature reminiscent of Apple’s Dynamic Island, which provides interactive notifications on the screen’s notch. Audio experiences are enhanced by dual stereo speakers with DTS Sound compatibility.
Under the hood, the Note 40X is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, running on Android 14 with Infinix’s XOS 14 interface. The device offers configurations of 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, coupled with 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD.
The back camera configuration consists of a 2MP depth sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 108MP main sensor. For those who enjoy taking selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front with an LED light. Some of the AI improvements in the phone include an AI wallpaper generator, an AI Sky Shop for editing photographs of the sky, and an AI Camera for better photography. AI App Boost also seeks to enhance the functionality of apps.
The 5000mAh battery of the Note 40X 5G may be quickly charged to 18W @ 18W. Among the connection options are WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, dual SIM support, and 5G capability. Users will also benefit from a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for increased security.
Pricing and Availability
Priced at Rs 14,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, and Rs 15,999 for the 12GB RAM variant, the Note 40X 5G is positioned firmly within the budget segment. Both variants will be available for purchase on Flipkart and at offline retail stores across India starting August 9th.
