Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Pro

Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Pro may arrive sooner than we think if rumour flying around is anything to go by. According to an insider, the company’s latest Note smartphones, the Note 4 and Note 4 Pro was a huge success, and they might be releasing its successor in June 2018.

However, there are just about little to no information about the new flagship devices. As we only can take them as speculations until Infinix releases an official statement or leak the much-awaited specs of the devices.

DESIGN

Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are expected to look quite identical according to speculations and they will only be differentiated base on specs. The Note 5 Pro is rumoured to sport a dual rear camera just like the one on the Phantom 8. The Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are rumoured to sport a be bezel-less display with impressive resolution. Just like the Note 4, the fingerprint scanner would be situated at the front and they will both come with X-pen.

DISPLAY

The Infinix Note 5 is expected to sport a 6.0-inch display screen like the Note 3 and Note 3 Pro. But the Note 5 Pro is rumoured to be bigger, with about 6.2-inch display. The screen resolution should be as high as 1080 x 1920 pixels, and a pixel per inch density of over 400.

HARDWARE and SOFTWARE

Fortunately, seems to be in love with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, but the new Note flagships might still come with a MediaTek Processor. The Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are rumoured to be powered by an unnamed MediaTek processor and the processing speed should be faster than its predecessors.

There shouldn’t be an exaggeration when it comes to the RAM and internal storage. As Infinix are known to be generous in that aspect. The Note 5 will be pegged at 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, while the Note 5 Pro should pack 4GB RAM and 64GB.

The devices wouldn’t be announced until around June 2018, so they should both run on the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. Also from recent leaks online, it’s possible that both devices will come with Android one out of the box. This means we should all expect to see stock Android on the upcoming devices.

CAMERA

The Note 5 should come with a dual 16MP rear cameras and a 13MP selfie camera with front flash. While the Note 5 Pro is expected to sport same dual 16MP rear cameras and a 20MP selfie camera with front flash.

BATTERY

Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are expected to be powered by a 4500mAh Non-removable battery. The mAh on the Note 5 Pro might be bigger. Of course, they both have the quick charge feature, and the 5-minute charge should offer more % than on the Note 4 and Note 4 Pro

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

The Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are expected to be released June 2018. The Note 5 is rumoured to be priced at $199, that’s about N65,000 – N75,000. While the Note 5 Pro is rumoured to be as high as $229, that’s about N85,000 – N95,000.
