Well, Its successor known as Infinix Smart 2 has been launched by Infinix Mobility in Nigeria, Pakistan and will be available in other countries as well. The device which is the upgraded version of the first Smart smartphone from the company will be taking on the TECNO Spark 2, iTel P32, Nokia 2 and the Samsung Galaxy J4.
The device focuses on those on a very tight budget who cannot afford to get the new Hot 6, Hot 6 Pro, the Infinix Hot S3, TECNO Pouvoir 2 Pro, Camon X or the Nokia 5 smartphones. The Infinix Smart 2 comes with the trending Face ID feature and 18:9 aspect ratio screen. Let’s meet the device.

Design and Display
The affordable smartphone sports a streamlined Metal design, making it look more premium for a device in its price range. It has a perfect polish look just like the latest Hot smartphones from the company.
The camera and LED flash are vertical at the top left corner, while the Infinix logo is in its usual position. We can see the “Smart” inscription at the bottom corner with the loudspeaker at the bottom left. It measures 8.4mm in thickness and available in beautiful colours.
This is the first smartphone from the Smart series with the full 18:9 screen. Of course, the first version has the standard 16:9 screen, it’s nice seeing a FullView display on a Smart device from Infinix.
The 5.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of 1440 x 720 pixels in resolution and 282 pixels per inch density. Overall, the Infinity display has slim bezels for your viewing pleasure.
Hardware and Software
When it comes to performance, the Infinix Smart 2 is a budget device. It’s powered by the MediaTek MT6739 chip which was built on an older 28nm process technology. However, the Quad-core processor on the chip reaches a fast speed of 1.5GHz. While the PowerVR GE8100 graphics card clocks at 570MHz.
There are two versions when it comes to storage space and RAM, The Pro version comes with a combination of 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB storage space. While a cheaper variant which runs on Android Go has 1GB RAM and 16GB storage space. The Pro version runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with XOS 3.2 on top.
Infinix Smart 2 Camera
The device is blessed with a 13MP rear camera, this has a bokeh effect and most of the trending camera features. There’s a dual-LED flash underneath as well, while the 8MP selfie camera takes cute selfies.
