Transsion’s Infinix has just added a new smartphone to its ranks in India and we will be expecting the same device in Nigeria soon. The Smart 3 Plus will be succeeding one of its previous budget device – Infinix smart 2.
Infinix smart 3 has Brought along a lot of upgrades from its predecessor, starting from the slightly bigger display with a more recent and trendy aspect ratio, to a new and improved Chipset, to triple camera setup and even more battery.
The Infinix Smart 3 is definitely a worthy upgrade to its predecessor and even manage to secure the title of the cheapest smartphone with triple camera setup.

Infinix Smart 3 Plus Design And Display
Infinix Smart 3 Pro despite being a budget device is still rocking a 6.4-inch HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a beautiful dewdrop/waterdrop notch housing the single selfie snapper. As expected, there is a significant amount of chin at the bottom.
At the back of the device, which is made of plastic, is the triple camera setup lined up carefully at the top left side with an LED flash. A fingerprint sensor assumes its normal position at the centre.
The device has a dual SIM card slot with a dedicated MicroSD card slot for additional storage. It measures 7.8mm in thickness, weighs 148grams and has three different Colour options available – Gold, Black and Cyan Blue.
Infinix Smart 3 Plus Camera Review
Triple cameras are now a trend and it seems they are making their way down to the budget segment. Infinix Smart 3 Plus is currently the cheapest smartphone in India – where it debuted – with triple camera setup.
The rear cameras include a main 13MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture, a secondary 8MP camera and lastly, a 2MP depth sensor camera.
Features of the rear camera include a dual-LED flash, PDAF, HDR, Panorama, Auto Scene Detection of up to 8 scenes, Night mode, AR stickers and lost of AI features – AI Portrait, AI Beauty, AI HDR and lots more.
Tucked away in the water-drop notch is the single 16MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture that handles all the selfies. Both cameras can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
Hardware and Software
Infinix Smart 3 Plus is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC; a Chipset based on the 12nm architecture with a Quad-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz Alongside a PowerVR GPU for gaming and graphics.
2GB of RAM handles all the multitasking while 32GB of storage stores all the files. Additional storage can be added via the dedicated MicroSD card slot, of up to 256GB. It runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the with Infinix’s XOS Skin on top.
Battery & Network Connectivity
Battery Capacity is rated at 3,5000mAh with fast battery charging through USB Type-C port. 4G LTE is still present here just as it was on its successor. Other features of this device include WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth, GPS, Face Unlock and a 3.5mm jack.
Infinix Smart 3 Plus Price and Availability
Infinix Smart 3 Plus is set to go on sale on in India’s Flipkart starting April 30th with a price of INR6,999 which is approximately $100. The Smart 3 Plus is yet to be unveiled in Nigeria so we will have to wait until that when Infinix will reveal the Smart 3 Plus price in Nigeria.
