Infinix just announced the Smart 7, the successor to the Infinix Smart 6 of last year. The phone has a plastic build and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner at the back. A textured pattern at the back provides a better grip when you hold the phone. It supports dual 4G sim cards with a loudspeaker and headphone port. The phone charges through a Micro USB port with OTG support, but that is one of the downsides of the phone.
It has a 5000mAh battery, and it supports 10 watts of charging. The battery will last a complete day on a single charge. It comes with a 6.6-inch TFT LCD, and it can reach 500 nits outdoors. The display has a 720p resolution, and it’s pretty okay since it will sell for less than $100.
The phone will run on Android 12, and XOS will be the user interface. The MediaTek Helio A22 should power it. With 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space, we are not sure about the chipset, but we will update it once we can confirm it.
The Infinix Smart 7 has a 13MP primary camera and a 0.3MP depth lens at the back. Upfront there is a 5MP selfie camera, and you can shoot 1080p and 720p videos with the cameras, respectively. The phone is an entry-level device, and it will carry out the basic task with ease. It is suitable for beginners and anyone that needs a backup phone.
