Infinix Zero 6 is Infinix’s latest flagship and also a successor to the Infinix Zero 5. Infinix Zero 6 comes with a whole lot of improvements over its predecessor, from the slightly bigger and sharper display to a whole new and better SoC. However, battery capacity did take a hit and is now smaller on the Infinix Zero 6 compared to the Zero 5. Let’s see how these two devices stack up against each other.
Infinix Zero 6 VS Infinix Zero 5 – Design & Display
Infinix Zero 5 has 5.98-inch IPS LCD display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel screen resolution, 368ppi and a 16:9 aspect ratio while the new Zero 6 has a slightly bigger 6.2-inch display which is also an IPS LCD panel, a 1080 x 2243 pixel screen resolution, 403ppi and a 19:9 aspect ratio with a notch.
At the back of both devices are the dual camera setup, LED and a fingerprint sensor. Both devices have a dual SIM slot and also a microSD card slot for storage expansion. Colour options available for the Zero 5 are Sandstone Black, Champagne Gold and Bordeaux Red while For Zero 6, there are Black and Gold.
Infinix Zero 6 VS Infinix Zero 5 – Hardware & Software
Infinix Zero 5 uses a MediaTek Helio P20 SoC which based on the 16nm FinFET process and has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.6GHz alongside a Mali-T880MP2 GPU. Zero 6 on the other has a Snapdragon 636 on the inside which has an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz alongside an Adreno 512 GPU.
Infinix Zero 5 has 6GB of RAM while Zero 6 also has 6GB of RAM, with both devices having 64GB of internal storage and an option to expand it further via a dedicated MicroSD card, up to 128GB on the Zero 5 and 256GB on the Zero 6. Zero 5 Ships with Android 7.0 Nougat while Zero 6 ships with Android 8.1 Oreo, both of which will have the Infinix XOS Skin
Camera, Battery & Connectivity
Infinix Zero 5 is equipped with a 12MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.0 aperture and AutoFocus alongside a secondary 13MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and AutoFocus. The rear camera is equipped with an LED, HDR, Panorama and can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
It also has a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash. Zero 6, on the other hand, takes things up a notch with a main 12MP camera accompanied by a secondary 24MP at the back and a 20MP selfie camera at the front. The rear camera of the Zero 6 has an LED flash but the front-facing camera doesn’t. However, the rear camera can still shoot 4k videos at 30fps.
Infinix Zero 5 has a 4,350mAh battery with no fast charging while Zero 6 has a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging so I guess that evens it out. They both have 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, a 3.5mm jack and a USB Type-C port for charging and file transfer.
Infinix Zero 6 VS Infinix Zero 5 – Price
Infinix Zero 5 costs about N100,000 for the only configuration available; 6GB/64GB. Infinix Zero 6, on the other hand, hasn’t had its price revealed yet but is expected to be around N120,000 – N150,000.
