Infinix Zero X, X Pro, and X Neo debuts with Periscope Cameras

Infinix Mobility has officially launched their Zero X series – a series more focused on camera similar to what the Tecno Mobile is doing with the Camon series. The Zero X series debuts with three smartphones – Infinix Zero X, Zero X Pro, and Zero X Neo. They all feature periscope lenses with 5x optical and 60x digital magnification.

The company also developed their algorithm which is called “the Galileo Engine”. The algorithm will control the camera while capturing photos/images of the Moon and later processing the data to get a clear result. However, the three Zero smartphones use different main cameras. The Infinix Zero X Pro which leads the pack features a 108MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The Infinix Zero X has a 64MP sensor (with OIS), while the Infinix Zero X Neo sports a 48MP camera with no Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). They all share the same periscope modules with an 8MP sensor and 8MP ultrawide cameras with 120° FoV that double as macro shooters. On the front side, there is a 16MP selfie camera with a dual-LED flash.

All three models of the Infinix X series are powered by MediaTek Helio G95 chipset which is built on a 12nm chipset with two Cortex-A76 cores clocking at 2.05 GHz speed and a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU with 900MHz. This is the same chipset found on the CAMON 17 Pro and the Phantom X devices from TECNO.

Infinix Zero X specs

Both the Infinix Zero X and X Pro are built around a 6.67″ AMOLED display and features a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. This is possible because the Helio G95 is paired with MediaTek’s Intelligent Display chipset, which allows for a higher refresh rate.

The Infinix Zero X Neo sports the largest display size amongst the trio with a 6.78″ LCD and features a 180Hz touch sampling rate and 90Hz refresh rate. Aside from having a bigger display size, the Zero X Neo also packs a bigger battery capacity – 5,000 mAh with an 18W charging that bears a TUV Rheinland certification. While both the Zero X and X Pro packs a 4,500 mAh battery capacity that supports a 45W fast charging technology (also certified by TUV Rheinland certification) that can go from 0% to 40% within 15 minutes.

The three Infinix devices run on Google’s Android 11 OS with XOS 7.6 UI on top. The RAM size is 8GB in all cases while the storage options are 128GB and 256GB.

The three Zero smartphones will be available in Nigeria, Indonesia, Egypt, Thailand, and other regions. However, the company has not published any plans to expand to Western Europe or the US yet.

The Zero X Pro will be available in Starry Silver, Nebula Black, and Tuscany Brow. The Zero X comes in Black and Silver body colours. While the Zero X Neo will be available in Bahamas Blue, Black, and Silver colours.

As per the price, the Infinix Zero X costs around N151,500 in Nigeria while the Zero X Pro retails for around N180,000.
