iPhone X [ iPhone 10] Launched with Bezeless AMOLED Screen, FaceID and Wireless Charging

The much awaited Smartphone of the year, the iPhone X (Iphone10) has been unveiled at Apple 10th year Anniversary in Cupertino. This is the 10th year since the first iPhone was introduced by Steve Job.

Other products announced at the Apple Event include the iPhone 8 & 8 Plus, 4K Apple TV and the Apple watch series 3. Apple iPhone X is the first smartphone from Apple to feature an AMOLED display with true tone colour and Apple called this Super Retina Display.

The Screen measures 5.8-inch having a resolution of 1,125 x 2,436 pixel which translates into 458ppi. It is no doubt, the sharpest display on any Apple smartphone ever. If you are an iPhone fan,  there’s reason to be excited as bezels that are popular with Apple smartphones have disappeared on the iPhone X. The new iPhone X retained one of the features from iPhone 7. It is water and dust resistant, meeting IP67 rating, under IEC standard 60529

The Famous Touch ID has been replaced with the latest FaceID. The Face ID according to Apple uses a flood illuminator (This means it will work even in the dark) as against the Iris Scanner on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8. Apple claims the Face ID is much more Secured than TouchID with a failure rate of 1,000,000 to 1 compared to that of Fingerprint which has a failure of 50,000:1.

However identical twins will be able to fool and unlock the device. The new FaceID works with Apple Pay and third party App.

In terms of software experience, the new iPhone X is powered by the latest Apple A11 chipset boasting 2 powerful cores and four energy efficient ones. The processor is paired with Apple’s first made GPU which it claims is 30% faster than that of A10 found on the iPhone 7. The device has 3GB of RAM and comes in two configurations. 3GB of RAM / 64GB of storage and 3GB RAM/ 256GB ROM.
