iQOO 7 launched with Snapdragon 888 and 120W fast charging

Vivo’s sub-brand, iQOO has announced its latest flagship device – the iQOO 7. And as expected, the smartphone features the very best in terms of specs and features.

The phone is built around a 6.62″ AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The display is pressure sensitive. And under the landscape mode, the left and right area allow for more precise controls in supported titles.

The centred punch-hole on the display is home to a 16MP selfie camera. While around the back is where you’d find the triple camera system – a 48MP main lens with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide lens with 120°FoV and a 13MP telephoto lens.

Hardware-wise, the iQOO 7 comes with a Snapdragon 888 chipset that’s paired with 8/12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone uses two separate 2,000 mAh battery cells to achieve its 4,000 mAh battery capacity. This move allows the iQOO 7 to support the 120W fast charging speed which reaches full charge in just 5 minutes.

The iQOO 7 is available in three body colour options – Black, White, and Light Blue. The white body colour is in collaboration with BMW M-sport.

Preorder for the iQOO 7 is ongoing in China with official sales scheduled to start this Friday (January 15, 2021). The base 8/128GB model retails for CNY3,798/$586 while the 12/256 GB goes for CNY4,198/$648. No word yet about international pricing or availability.
