itel A22 was launched alongside the A45 in India as budget-friendly offerings for light users on a budget. Unlike the A45, the A22 comes with a single rear camera.
Furthermore, itel went for an older Snapdragon chip with the older 16:9 aspect ratio screen. However, it comes with the same 1G RAM space and 8GB storage space as well. Let’s find out more.

Design And Display
The A22 looks good no doubt, it sports the trendy antenna lines. There’s one on top and another at the bottom. The Plastic body enables a non-slippery grip when held.
The rear camera and LED flash are horizontal at the top left corner on top of a black plastic foundation. This adds a sleek feel to the device. It measures 9.35mm in thickness when you turn to the sides.
Turning to the front, you’ll be greeted by the screen of course, with lots of bezels. The top bezels house the selfie camera, speaker grille and LED flash, while the bottom has the navigation buttons.
It sports a standard 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, this boasts of 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution and 215 pixels per inch density for clear visuals. It also stretches up to 60.81% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Itel adopted the Snapdragon 210 from Qualcomm. The old chipset was built on a 28nm process technology and comes with quad-core processor clocking at 1.3GHz, while the Adreno 304 graphics card controls graphics.
For multitasking, it comes with just 1GB of RAM space. Although it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition as well, this enables seamless performance with light apps. There’s an 8GB storage space for storing files.
Camera And Connectivity
The phone sports a single 5MP rear camera which comes with a LED flash and other internal features. For taking selfies, you’re left with a 2MP shooter at the top bezels.
The A22 supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIM. It has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB TypeC, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.
