Itel A44 Air is Itel’s Latest budget smartphone and for a budget smartphone, it has a lot going for it. First, it is equipped with dual rear cameras and the single front-facing camera with LED has facial recognition, aka Face ID. Obviously, it runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition), has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of Storage with a starting price below $80. Let’s dive a little deeper.

Itel A44 Air Design And Display
Itel A44 is rocking a 5.45-inch IPS LCD panel with a screen resolution of 480 x 960. It has an 18:9 aspect ratio, leaving more than enough room at the top for the single front-facing camera. At the back is where we have the dual camera setup. There is no fingerprint at the back or anywhere else on the device but the back is a textured panel, obviously from plastic to provide a better grip. Colour options available for the Itel A44 Air are Blusher Gold, Elegant Blue and Slate Grey colour.
Itel A44 Air Camera Review
The rear camera on the Itel A44 Air comprises of a main 5MP camera supported by a secondary 0.8MP camera with an LED flash. The camera is equipped with AI Super night mode which makes low light shots come out pretty nice. You can also create a bokeh effect using the camera, thanks to the dual camera setup. As for the 2MP front-facing camera, it is also equipped with an AI Face beauty technology which aims to beautify your selfies. The front facing camera can also be used for Face Unlock.

Inside the device is the Unisoc SC9832E SoC which is has a quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. This is paired with 1GB of RAM for efficient multitasking and 8GB of Internal storage which is also expandable, up to 32GB. Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) runs on the device with Itel’s UI on top.
Battery & Network Connectivity
Giving this device all the juice it needs is a 2,400mAh battery. Obviously, there is no fast charging here. However, it does have 4G VoLTE, WiFi, WiFi direct, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth and a micro USB port.
