itel P31 is a budget-friendly smartphone launched by itel targeting those on a budget. One of its highlights lives underneath a massive 5000mAh battery that would last for weeks on standby.

DESIGN
Looks plain from the back, but sports a metal overall body that’s quite pleasurable to hold. It’s obvious there’s no fingerprint scanner on the device, with only the rear camera and dual-LED flash sitting at the top left corner.
The itel logo is in its usual position, while the loudspeaker comes underneath for loud music and great bass. The P31 is very bulky by the sides, which can be attributed to the massive battery capacity. Overall, the device is available in Gold, Grey and Blue colours.
DISPLAY
It Ships with a lot of bezels, as usual, sporting three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel. The top bezel, however, houses the selfie camera, speaker grille and sensors. The screen might be too compact but comes with many bezels.
Talking about the screen, the 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is pretty disappointing. Boasting of just 854 X 480 pixels in resolution and 194 pixels per inch density. Don’t expect magic with this screen though, movies and games should be clear nevertheless.
HARDWARE and SOFTWARE
Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6580W chip with 4-cores of processor and 32-bit CPU architecture. The quad-core processor on the P31 clocks at 1.2GHz with a 28nm process technology as usual. A Mali graphics processor handles graphics.
Just 1GB of RAM available here for multitasking of light apps with a memory speed of 533MHz. 8GB storage space is again to accommodate all files and games, you can also upgrade up to 32GB as well. The P31 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
CAMERA
A standard 5MP rear shooter sits at the top left corner with a dual-LED flash, ready for everything photography. For selfies, there’s another 5MP selfie camera with face detection and other features as well.
BATTERY
The itel P31 is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 3200mAh battery with no fast charging technology.
