Koobee S506m is a budget-friendly smartphone that was introduced by Koobee alongside the S12. The device sports the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio screen but was built for those on a budget.
You also get up to 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space variants. The company also brought on the trendy Face ID feature on the device as well.

Design And Display
The S506m looks like most budget-friendly smartphones we have seen. There’s a rear camera and LED flash at the top left corner while the speaker grille sits at the bottom corner.
Furthermore, the Plastic body is available in Champagne and purple colours with no fingerprint scanner in sight. It measures 8.5mm in thickness and weighs 160g overall.
Turning over to the front, you will be greeted by the same 18:9 Full-screen display we saw on the S12. The screen comes with in-Cell technology as well with no narrow bezels whatsoever in sight.
It has a smaller 5.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which boasts of 1440 x 720 pixels and 293 pixels per inch density for clear and sharp visuals. It stretches up to 75% screen to body ratio as well.
Hardware and Software
It is powered by the MediaTek MT6739 chipset which comes with its 28nm process node. There’s a quad-core processor clocking at 1.5GHz as well. While the PowerVR GE8100 graphics processor handles graphics.
In terms of RAM and storage space, there are two variants. There’s one with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space, while the expensive variant has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space. It runs on an older Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but a newer Dido OS 7.6 is on top.
Camera And Connectivity
The phone is equipped with a single 8MP rear shooters with f/2.2 aperture, there’s a LED flash beside the camera for night shoots. While the 5MP selfie camera handles selfies.
The S506m supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB TypeC, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

The Koobee S506m is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 2200mAh battery with no fast charging technology. Koobee S506m will be available on shopping stores, starting from $89 to $119, that’s about (N30,000 – N40,000).
