DESIGN

The dual shooters are horizontal at the top middle with a dual-LED flash by the side and a fingerprint scanner underneath. Turning over to the sides, it measures 9.5mm in thickness and weighs 153g overall. You can get the Leagoo M9 in Champagne, Black and Blue colors only.

DISPLAY

A trendy yet affordable smartphone, the Leagoo M9 flows with the current trend, dishing out an 18:9 aspect ratio. No narrow bezels whatsoever on the screen, with super minimal bezels at the top and bottom corner.

Furthermore, the 5.5-inch FHD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is pretty impressive for a budget smartphone. Boasting of 1280 x 640 pixels in resolution and 260 pixel per inch density. The screen boasts of a 1200:1 contrast ratio, 416 cd/m2, 178° viewing angle as it stretches up to 74.30% screen to body ratio.

HARDWARE and SOFTWARE

The brain behind the phone is a MediaTek MT6580A chipset with 4-cores of processor and 32-bit CPU architecture. The processor reaches a maximum speed of 1.3GHz and has a 28nm process technology. Riding the graphics is the ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processor with 2-cores.

Multitasking shouldn’t be a problem here, 2GB of RAM space is available alongside a memory speed of 533MHz. In terms of storage, 16GB storage space is available and upgradeable up to 32GB with a memory card. The M9 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Leagoo OS 3.0 Lite.

It comes with four cameras, but don’t expect magic though. The dual 8MP + 2MP rear shooters can only capture photographs with 3264 x 2448 pixels in dimension. For selfies, the dual 5MP + 2MP selfie shooter has f/2.4 aperture, 1.65um pixel size and comes with a LED flash as well.

The Leagoo M9 is powered by a removable Li-Ion 2850mAh battery with no fast charging technology.
