LG Stylo 4 Plus Arrives with a Stylus Pen and IP68 Dust and Water Resistant

LG Stylo 4 Plus is here as an upgrade to its predecessor and last years LG Stylo 3 Plus packing lots of new features. For a start, the new device has an IP68 rating so it is dust and water resistant. A 3GB RAM is also on board with 32GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is being powered by a 3,300mAh battery capacity. Let’s see what this device has to offer.

Design And Display

The LG Stylo 4 Plus has a big 6.2-inch screen with 2160 x 1080 pixels screen resolution (390 ppi) and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The body of the device features Real Metal frame and a 2.5D arc glass which makes the device not only good to look at but also good to hold.

There a considerable amount of bezels up top to house the front facing camera, speaker grill and other sensors as well as a little bit of chin at the bottom. At the back is the single camera along with the fingerprint sensor placed directly underneath. The device measures at 8.4mm thickness weigh 172 grams and come in only one colour – Moroccan blue.

Hardware and Software

Inside is a MediaTek MT6750S chipset with an octa-core processor clocking speeds of up to 1.5GHz along with an ARM Mali-T860 MP2 GPU for Gaming. This is paired with a 3GB RAM for multitasking and 32GB for storage which can be expanded further up to 2TB via the onboard MicroSD card slot. There is also a stylus Pen which can be used to edit video snippets, jot down ideas without needing to turn on the phone and do other things. The device also has an IP68 rating meaning it is dust and water resistant. A Fingerprint Sensor is also at the back for biometric verifications/authentications. Booting up is an Android 8.1 Oreo Operating system with LG’s UX 7.0 User Interface on top.

Camera, Battery & Connectivity

For all your photography needs, there is a 16MP rear camera with f/2.2 and LED Flash which can only take 1080p videos at 30fps. Other features of the rear-facing camera include the PDAF (Phase detection autofocus) burst shots, HDR, Cheese Shutter, Geotagging, Panorama, OIS(Optical Image Stabilisation) and Face Detection. At the front is a single 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture capable of taking portrait mode photos. Other features of the front-facing camera include the auto shot, beauty shot, selfie light and many more.

Keeping the device up and running is a 3,300mAh battery with fast charging. Connectivities available on the devices include 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi direct and WiFi hotspot, A-GPS and S-GPS, LG AirDrive and a USB Type-C reversible port with support for USB On The Go.
