There’s just a single rear camera now to play with, the device is known as Meizu M15 in China where it was launched. This Global Lite version might have what you’ve been looking for in a smartphone. Let’s find out.

DESIGN
The first thing you’ll notice when you look at the device is the single rear camera instead of the dual shooters on its siblings. Nonetheless, the six-LED flash is still in its usual position and ready for night shoots.
The Metal body on this baby still looks radiant and stunning as usual and would definitely turn heads at a gathering. It measures 7.5mm in thickness, but surprisingly weighing just 145g overall. This affordable beauty supports dual Nano SIMS and available in Black, Gold and Red colours.
DISPLAY
Unlike the 15 Plus, the screen on the 15 Lite couldn’t reach the 80% screen-to-body ratio mark. However, it stretches up to 79% which is impressive for a device that retails this cheap. The physical home button which doubles as the fingerprint scanner is still visible at the bottom bezel.
The 5.46 HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen has the same resolution on the Meizu M15. Boasting of 1080 x 1920 pixels in resolution with 403 pixels per inch density. The multitouch screen has low-temperature polysilicon and delivers quality visuals a well.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
Under the hood, is the MSM8953-Pro Snapdragon 626 chip from Qualcomm with a fast 8-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The Octa-core processor here reaches a fast speed of 2.2GHz with 16nm process technology. In the graphics department, the Adreno 506 does its job pretty nicely.
Unlike its siblings which has two variants, the 15 Lite has a single version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. The RAM space reaches a memory speed of over 1GHz, while the storage space is upgradable up to 256GB using a memory card. The Lite version runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with Flyme UI 7.0.
CAMERA
There’s just a single 12MP rear shooter here. The 12MP camera boasts of f/1.9 aperture, 1/2.3″ sensor size and 1.4 µm pixel size. Features on the cameras include 4-axis OIS, 2x optical zoom, dual pixel phase and laser detection, autofocus, six-LED dual-tone flash and others. Videos of 1080p are recorded at 30fps, while the 20MP selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture.

The Meizu 15 Lite is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 3500mAh battery with fast charging technology.
