Motorola Moto G7 Play Full Specs and Price

Motorola recently unveiled four Moto G7 smartphones, each with different specifications, Features and price. Talking about the price, the Motorola Moto G7 Play, which is among the four phones released, is the cheapest of the squad but with a cheap price comes low-end specs, right? Well, think again. The Moto G7 Play packs quite a punch for its price. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, 3000mAh battery with a 10W fast charging, a USB Type-C port and ships with the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Let’s dive a little deeper shall we ?

Motorola Moto G7 Play Design And Display

Motorola Moto G7 Play sports a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a 720p screen resolution, 294ppi and 19:9 aspect with a somewhat long notch which houses the front facing camera, LED flash, speaker grill and proximity sensor. The small chin at the bottom has the Motorola name written on it.

At the back is a circle with the camera and LED flash in it then the fingerprint sensor which has the Motorola Logo inside sits just below the circle. The display is protected a Corning Gorilla glass depending on the variant you get and the back is made of plastic. This device weighs just 149 grams and measures 8mm in thickness. Deep Indigo, Fine Gold and Starry black are the colour options available, at least for now.

Motorola Moto G7 Play Camera Review

The rear camera on the Motorola Moto G7 Play is a single 13MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. Features of the rear camera includes an LED flash for low light shots, HDR for good dynamic range and Panorama for those wide angle shots. The rear camera can also record 2160p and 1080p videos at a maximum of 30fps. The selfie camera on the other hand which is an 8MP shooter with an f/2.2 aperture and LED flash can only Record 1080p videos, also at 30fps.

Underneath this device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC; a 14nm based chipset with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with an Adreno 506 GPU for gaming. This device also has 2GB of RAM for smooth multitasking through apps and 32GB of in-built storage, which, if not enough can be expanded further, up to 512GB via a microSD card. The Moto G7 Play also runs the latest Android Operating System out of the box; Android 9.0 Pie.

A 3,000mAh battery powers this device and depending on the variant you get, a 10W fast battery charging. It also comes with 4G LTE connectivity, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, FM radio, 3.5mm jack, GPS and a USB Type-C port with support for USB On The Go.
