Motorola Moto Z3 Full Specs and Review

Motorola Moto Z3 was introduced by Motorola in the US yesterday as the latest instalment to the Z series. The device packs flagship features for those on a budget and has a splash resistant body.

It’s powered by an older Snapdragon 835 flagship chip with a powerful octa-core processor. There’s a standard 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space with Stock Android 8.1 Oreo.

Design And Display

The Moto Z3 looks exactly like the Z3 Play we reported earlier. But this is obviously more powerful on the inside. It has a circular foundation at the top that houses the rear camera and LED flash.

The fingerprint scanner has been moved to the sides for fast and easy access. It’s made from aluminium alloy, specifically from the 6000 series. It’s available in only Ceramic Black.

Turning to the front, it sports an 18:9 aspect ratio screen with super minimal bezels, just like the front of the Z3 Play. There’s a Motorola logo at the bottom bezel and the usual features on top.

It’s built around a 6.01-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. This has a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 402 pixels per inch density. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top for protection.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 835 chip does the job with its 10nm process node. Nonetheless, it ships with an octa-core processor clocking at 2.35GHz tops. In the graphics department, the Adreno 540 graphics card does the trick.

For multitasking, it has 4GB RAM space available, this reaches a memory speed of about 1866MHz. While the storage department boasts of 64GB space, you can expand up to 512GB as well. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box as well.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

It’s equipped with a dual 12MP + 12MP shooters, the first 12MP camera has f/2.0 aperture, 1.25µm pixel size and laser AF. While the other 12MP shooter is the depth sensor. It has an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, 24mm lens and 1.12µm pixel size.

The Moto Z3 supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIM. It has support for Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm jack with adapter, USB TypeC, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

Battery, Price And Availability

The Motorola Moto Z3 is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology. Motorola Moto Z3 will be available on shopping stores, starting from $449 to $499, that’s about (N160,000 – N180,000).
