Popular social media platform, Twitter is releasing their first-ever subscription-based service known as Twitter Blue. After months of speculation, the bird app will be rolling out the service with premium features in selected countries. According to a blog post by the company, Twitter Blue simply offers an opt-in layer of customization to give users more creative possibilities for their Twitter experience. They have no intention of turning Twitter into a paid service. There is currently no official information about when Twitter Blue will launch in other countries. But the company calls this the "first iteration", which implies that they may adjust the pricing or add more features down the road. Twitter Blue Launch Date and Subscription Costs Twitter Blue launch date is June 3 2021 and is available for iOS devices in both Canada and Australia for a monthly price of $3.49 CAD and $4.49 AUD respectively. The subscriptions on iOS are non-refundable. There is currently no official information about when Twitter Blue will launch in other countries or availability for Android devices. Twitter Blue Features Users who sign up for the premium service will get access to the following perks and features - Undo Tweet, Bookmark Folders, Reader Mode, Colour Themes, Customizable App Icons and access to dedicated customer support. With no plans for the popular requested "edit" button, Blue users will have up to 30 seconds to undo a tweet after sending it. So when a user spots a typo or missing letter or detail, they can simply undo the tweet, make the necessary adjustment and retweet it. The "undo" button appears by default for all sent tweet, Blue users can either shorten the 30 seconds timer or bypass it by pressing the "send now" button. The bookmark folders feature allows users to organise their bookmarks into folders and easily find saved contents to read later. This feature saves you the stress and frustration of having to find specific content from a long list of tweets. The reader mode feature lets you keep up with Twitter threads by turning them into long-form text, which is easier to read. The feature combines multiple tweets like it's a web article for seamless reading.
