Nokia 7.2 Price in Nigeria and Full Specs

HMD Global just added two new mid-range devices – The Nokia 7.2 and 6.2 – to their current portfolio of mid-range smartphones.

We will be taking a look at the Nokia 7.2 here which is kind of the big brother amongst the two. The Nokia 7.2 sports a 6.3-inch notched LCD display, a Snapdragon 660 SoC on the inside with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

It also has a triple camera setup, 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support and runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Nokia 7.2 Design And Display

Nokia 7.2 has a pretty impressive design. The body of the device is made from multiple coats of polycarbonate which gives of that metal-like feeling in hand. This makes the device feel denser. Still, at the back, we have a triple camera setup and an LED flash all wrapped in near little circular bump.

Underneath the camera bump is the fingerprint sensor for biometric unlock. Turning to the front reveals the display. It is a 6.3-inch FullHD+ display which supports HDR10 contents and can reach up to 500nits of brightness. The display also has a notch which houses the front-facing camera.

It has both a single SIM variant and a hybrid dual SIM variant. The single-SIM variant has dedicated microSD card slot while the hybrid SIM variant uses the second SIM slot to double as a microSD card slot. Both slots can accommodate up to 512GB. Nokia 7.2 weighs 180grams, measure 8.3mm in thickness and has three colour options; Cyan Green, Charcoal and Ice.

Camera Review

The smartphone has a total of four cameras, three of which are at the back, leaving one up front. Tucked away in the notch is a single 20MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture, Zeiss optics and HDR. It can also shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

At the back of the device is a 48MP main camera with am f/2.2 aperture and PDAF, an 8MP (ultrawide) wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor camera. The rear camera is accompanied by an LED flash and has lots of features. These features include Zeiss optics, Panorama, HDR and more. It can record both 4k and 1080p videos at 30fps with gyro-EIS.

Hardware and Software

HMD Global opted for the popular Snapdragon 660 SoC to drive the device. The chipset has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz paired with an Adreno 512 GPU and hooked up to 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

For storage, it has 64GB or 128GB of storage respectively, which is expandable, up to 512GB. It runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and being part of the android one family, it comes without any skin or bloatware.

Battery and Connectivity

Battery capacity stands at 3,500mAh which should be able to get you through the day without needing a refill. When you do need to charge, you’ll be able to use the 10W fast charging it supports.

Other features of the device include 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, WiFi direct, a 3.5mm jack, Bluetooth 5.0 with support aptX and GPS. It also has NFC, however, the Indian version will be lacking this feature. Charging and file transfer is done through the USB type-c port on board.
