Finally, After all the renders and leaks, the Nokia 9 PureView just got unveiled, snatching the title of the first smartphone to have 5 cameras. Yes, we’re there now. Asides front cameras, it also a moderate 5.99-inch display which has an older 18:9 aspect with HDR10. Nokia even opted for a Snapdragon 845 SoC here which paired with 6GB of RAM and 128Gb of non-expandable storage. The 3,320 also has both fast charging and wireless charging. Let’s find out more.

Nokia 9 PureView Design And Display

The front of the Nokia 9 PureView looks like something released early last year, thanks to the bezels at the top and bottom. The display is a 5.99-inch HDR10 P-OLED display with a 1440p screen resolution, 538ppi and an 18:9 aspect ratio. On top of the display is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for screen protection. Turning over to the back will reveal the cameras totalling up to 5 along with the LED flash. There is no fingerprint sensor at back as that has been moved to underneath the display. Overall this device weighs 172 grams, measures 8mm in thickness and has only one colour; Midnight Blue. It comes in both single SIM and dual SIM variants.

Nokia 9 PureView Camera Review

The cameras on the Nokia PureView is perhaps the most talking about the aspect of this device. It has a total of 5 cameras, 6 if you count the TOF one. The 5 cameras here are all 12MP shooters with an f/1.8 aperture. Two of the 5 cameras are RGB while the remaining 3 are monochrome. There is also a dual-LED dual tone flash for low light shots. Features of the camera Zeiss optics, HDR and Panorama. 4k and 1080p videos can also be shot in HDR at 30fps. The front facing camera is a single 20MP sensor with HDR which can only shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

Nokia 9 PureView is equipped with a Snapdragon 845 SoC so no 5G here. The Snapdragon 845 SoC is an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.8GHz paired with an Adreno 630 GPU. For smooth multitasking, there is 6GB of RAM and 128GB of non-expandable storage. As expected, this device, just like other Nokia smartphones, is also under the Android One program and ships with Stock Android 9.0 Pie with no UI overlays.

Powering this Nokia 9 PureView is 3,320mAh battery which is equipped with an 18W fast battery charging (Quick Charge 3.0) and a 10W wireless charging, compatible with Qi devices. Other features of this device include 4G LTE, GPS, dual-band WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth, NFC and a USB Type-C port with support for USB On The Go. No 3.5mm jack here though.
