The Nokia C2 is among the six phones (five smartphones and one feature phone) released by HMD Global this month despite the uncertainty of the world’s economy due to the present pandemic.
The smartphone along with the Nokia C1 was released specifically for developing/emerging markets. So don’t be surprised if the device is predominantly in Africa’s countries.

Nokia C2 Design
The Nokia C2 has an identical design with the Nokia C1. The front side is home to the display with thick bezels at the top and bottom. The back which is made of plastic features the single rear camera with LED flash and the Nokia brand name. The Nokia C2 weighs 161 grams and measures 154.8 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm in dimensions. The phone is available in Black and Cyan body colours.
Display
The phone is built around a compact 5.7-inch display with IPS LCD panel. The display features 720p resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and 282 PPI density. Protecting the display from scratches is an unspecified toughened glass type.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood of the Nokia C2 is an Unisoc chipset built on 28nm process. The chipset features a Quad-Core 1.4GHz processor and is married with a 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM. Running inside the device is Android 9 Pie (Go edition), which is expected.
Camera
The main camera of the Nokia C2 is a 5MP f/2.2 shooter with auto-focus, HDR and LED flash. The front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter also with its own LED flash and can shoot 720p at 30fps just like the rear camera.
Price, Availability and Battery
Battery-wise, the Nokia phone packs a Li-ion 2,800 mAh battery which is removable. It makes use of standard charging technology.
