Nokia X6 Specs and Price

Nokia X6 has finally been launched by HMD Global, after a series of leaks. It was launched in China and would be available globally in the coming weeks. This is the first smartphone from the new Nokia’s X series, which seems like a midrange series going with the chipset.

The Snapdragon 636 is on board, with an octa-core processor. This is also the first Nokia smartphone with the trending notched screen. There’s also an AI-powered dual rear camera at the rear for all your photography needs. Let’s find out more about the Nokia X6.

Nokia X6 Design

It sports a Metal overall premium unibody that’s covered exquisitely in the glass. The frames were made from Metal as well, 95% of the back is covered with glass which reflects light beautifully. At the top middle, there’s a foundation that houses dual cameras and LED flash in a vertical format.

The fingerprint scanner follows closely underneath before the Nokia logo rounds the features at the rear. This sleek device measures just 8.6mm in thickness, this makes it a little too bulky. Nonetheless, it’s quite attractive and available in Black, Blue and White colours.

Nokia X6 Display

As stated above, this is the first, Nokia smartphone with the trending notched display. Nokia also made the notch very tiny as possible, as it houses just the selfie camera, speaker grille and sensor. At the bottom bezel, we can see another Nokia logo as well.

Focusing on the screen for a bit, the 5.8-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and dishes out a 19:9 aspect ratio. With 435 pixels per inch density, see all your movies and games come to life. Impressively, the screen stretches up to 80.3% screen-to-body ratio with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.

Hardware  And Software

The Nokia X6 is powered by the Snapdragon 636 chip from Qualcomm. An octa-core processor with a 64-bit CPU architecture. The Octa-core processor runs at a standard speed of 1.8GHz with 14nm process technology, offering a smooth ride. In the graphics department, the Adreno 509 graphics processor takes control.

There are two versions in terms of internal storage and RAM, the 64GB storage variant comes with either 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM. While 32GB storage cheaper variant has 4GB of RAM, the RAM on both variant reaches a memory speed of 1.3GHz. The Nokia X6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and will receive an update to Android P.

Camera

In terms of camera, the device boasts dual rear camera consisting of 16MP + 5MP setup. The AI-powered camera captures breathtaking photographs, there’s portrait mode, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED dual-tone flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR, background blur, dynamic expression, filters and lots more.

The 16MP at the top has f/2.0 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, giro-EIS, while the 5MP underneath has f/2.2 aperture and 1.2µm pixel size. Videos of 1080p can be recorded at 30fps, while the 16MP selfie shooter has f/2.0 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size and supports Face ID.

Battery

The Nokia X6 is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 3060mAh battery with fast charging technology.

Nokia X6 is available on Shopping stores, starting from $199 to $299, that’s about (N80,000 – N100,000).
