According to China’s Radio Regulation Authority database, the next OnePlus device could be called OnePlus 5. OnePlus were used to naming their devices as A1000, A2000 and A3000. The OnePlus 3 was assigned a Model number of A3000 while the previous version OnePlus 2 was given A2000. The information on the Chinese website shows that the next device from the brand was given a model of A5000-meaning the Oneplus upcoming flagship for this year will be codenamed Oneplus 5.
This may be connected to the fact that in China, the number 4 means bad luck and OnePlus does not want to produce a device that will be tagged bad luck which will definitely affects its sales in China.

There have been various publications about the upcoming Oneplus 5 smartphone in the past one mouth suggesting that the phone will rock the QUALCOMM Snapdragon 835 Processor together with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal Storage. Oneplus was one of the first brand with a 6GB of RAM phone and if all the rumours flying around turns out to be true, we might just be expecting a 8GB powered Flagship from OnePlus just like the Asus ZenFone Air
Oneplus 5 display and design
Regarding the dispay OnePlus 5 will be getting resolution upgrade from Oneplus 3T. It will be fitted with a 1440p display on a 5.5-inch screen size with a slim profile of about 7mm. The display type this time around will come with super AMOLED curved Display and will also have all metal body build.
Other great specs and features to look out for are 3000mAh battery, 23MP rear camera and a 16MP front facing camera for selfie lovers.
